International Clinics

I am very fortunate to reconnect with a former student, now golf professional in Uruguay, Juan Marquine. Juan graduated from Spring Hill College and played on the golf team. I began teaching Juan in his sophomore year and we developed a friendship. Towards the end of Juan's time in Mobile I started hiring him to help with junior clinics, and he helped teach a Nike Junior Golf Camp.

Juan is back in his home country of Uruguay, teaching golf in Montevideo, the capital city, and Punta del Este, a beautiful beach resort town. Juan contacted me a couple of years ago with the desire to teach golf together, a seed I planted while he was at Spring Hill. Our idea came to fruition in November of 2011 when I visited Montevideo, Uy and taught with Juan. We taught golf clinics, and I taught private lessons, to golfers from Uruguay, Argentina, and Brasil. The first two trips were a success and we are planning on growing our business.

We had a very successful week In March 2012. We taught clinics at San Nicolas driving range, attended and participated in a golf show at the Sheraton Resort and Spa in Calonia, Uruguay, and finished with two days of teaching at Club del Golf de Uruguay. Once again everyone was very welcoming, gracious, and tolerant of my lack of spanish.

Upcoming Clinics in Uruguay:

I am returning to Uruguay on March 16, 2013 and will stay for 9 days. We will teach at San Nicolas Driving range in Montevideo, La Barra Golf Club and Cantegril Golf Club in Punta del Este. We will feature two day clinics designed to improve your total game. I am looking forward to seeing some of our return students and meeting more new ones. Below is the official flyer with times, dates, and fees. Please contact Juan by phone or email to reserve your spot.

Below I have added three images from the Uruguayan Golf Clubs Magazine. They published this article in their April 2012 edition, after our March clinics. I have also assembled a slide show from the trip. Finally take a look at the video made from our March trip, pretty cool.
